- Set the Price Per Square:
- Decide on a fixed cost for each square (e.g., $1, $5, $10). The total money collected from the sold squares will form the prize pool.
- Sell the Squares:
- Participants choose their squares by writing their names or initials in the blank spaces on the grid. Each square represents one chance to win.
- Assign Numbers Randomly:
- Once all the squares are filled (or as many as you plan to sell), randomly assign the numbers 0–9 along the top row and left column of the grid. These numbers then correspond to the last digit of each team’s score.
- How Winners Are Determined:
- At the end of each quarter, the person whose square intersects the last digits of each team’s score wins that quarter’s prize.
- For example, if the score at the end of the first quarter is 14–7, find the square where the row for “4” (team 1) and column “7” (team 2) meet. The person in that square is the winner.
- Distribute Prizes:
- Divide the prize pool into portions for each quarter. A common distribution might be:
- 1st Quarter: 20%
- Halftime: 30%
- 3rd Quarter: 20%
- Final Score: 30%
- Adjust the percentages as you see fit, or allocate the full prize pool to the final score.
- Divide the prize pool into portions for each quarter. A common distribution might be:
- Promote the Game:
- Let participants know how they can claim their squares and stay updated on the results. Make the process easy and transparent to keep it engaging.
